Carved Antler Spear-Thrower — rare Prehistoric artifact.
Elaborately carved reindeer antler spear-throwers (atlatls) from the Upper Paleolithic, used to extend the reach and velocity of thrown spears. Many feature exquisite animal carvings - leaping horses, ibex, or fish - at the hook end, making them among the finest examples of portable Paleolithic art.
