Mycenaean Burial Masks — rare Bronze Age artifact.

Thin hammered gold funerary masks placed over the faces of elite deceased in Mycenaean shaft graves, most famously at Mycenae circa 1550-1500 BCE. The masks depict idealized facial features with closed eyes and stylized beards. Schliemann's 'Mask of Agamemnon' is the most renowned example.
