Andalusian Ivory Pyxis — mythical Islamic artifact.

Ornately carved cylindrical ivory container from Al-Andalus, used to hold precious substances such as musk, camphor, or jewels. Famous examples, such as the Pyxis of al-Mughira, feature intricate figural and vegetal carvings that reflect courtly life.
