Pyu Gold Foil Manuscript - rare Buddhist artifact.

Thin sheets of gold foil inscribed with excerpts from the Pali Buddhist canon were discovered at the ancient Pyu city of Sri Ksetra in Myanmar. Dating to the 5th century CE, these precious pages represent one of the earliest physical records of Theravada Buddhist scripture in Southeast Asia.
